Every Sureel platform is dogfooded on a real operating day before anyone else logs in. CannAgent runs the register, till, cash drawer, loyalty, and back-office payroll at two licensed Washington dispensaries — in production, every day. The software has already survived an actual retail shift, not a demo.

Each platform starts with a real operational problem and ends with software that solves it — designed, built, and run by the same person who lives in the regulated business it serves.
The code, the data, the IP — owned outright
Unlike a SaaS subscription, a Sureel platform isn't rented. The business that runs it owns the whole thing — the source code, the data, the logic. Nothing is held hostage, and there's no lock-in.
Built on Claude, never trapped on it
Anthropic Claude is the default model, but every platform abstracts the LLM behind a thin provider-agnostic interface. Switching to another provider — or self-hosting — is configuration, not a rewrite. The business logic outlives any one vendor.

Doug Waun — founder & builder
Sureel AI is a single-member LLC under Sureel Ventures LLC. Doug Waun owns it outright and personally designs, builds, and ships every platform. Mike Ion (PhD mathematics, deep LLM expertise) and Jack Piza (tax, accounting & IP) repositioned from co-founders to a consulting bench in May 2026 — available when the work calls for it, but Sureel's direction, IP, and decisions are Doug's.
Doug isn't a developer who read about regulated industries — he operates them. Green Life Cannabis (Wenatchee) and Seattle Cannabis Co. are his WSLCB-licensed dispensaries. Green Wellness Medical is his HIPAA-covered telehealth practice. Vision Research Group is his SDVOSB- and HUBZone-certified federal-contracting firm. The compliance instincts behind every Sureel platform are earned, not researched.
